Integrated management of late blight of potato in Pokhara, Kaski, Nepal

A field experiments was carried out in Pokhara, Kaski, Nepal, to identify integrated disease management options against late blight of potato under natural epiphytotic conditions.Twelve genotypes potato, including Janakdev as resistant and Cardinal susceptible, were evaluated a randomized complete block design with three replications. Similarly, two-factor experiment replications investigate the interaction effect planting date application chemical, botanical extracts, biocontrol agent.Susceptible variety planted different dates starting from October 11 at 15-day interval received five sprays each chemical fungicide Krilaxyl Gold (mancozeb 64% + metalaxyl 8%), 10% V/V extracts garlic (Allium sativum), neem (Azadirachta indica), bakaino (Melia azedarach), Phytoderma (Trichoderma viride) 109 CFU/mL) water spray an untreated control.Among genotypes, CIP384321.15 Khumal Ujjwal showed significantly (p<0.01) lowest mean value AUDPC (the area progress curve), whereas susceptible check Laxmi highest values. total (382.65) (1533.41). Besides fungicide, garlic, bakaino, neem, phytoderma could reduce increase tuber yield. These agents can be used blight.
